Lawrence is Chairman of Blenheim Underwriting Limited. Lawrence has worked in the Lloyd’s Market since 1983 in both executive and non-executive roles, including over twenty-five years as the managing director of two highly successful Lloyd’s managing agency businesses; Bankside, 1990 -1999 and Cathedral, 2000-2016, leaving the former to become a founding principal of the latter. He has also served on many senior Lloyd’s and London Market governing and technical bodies and committees during his career both through election and appointment, including the Council of Lloyd’s, the LMA (Lloyd’s Market Association) Board and the LMG (London Market Group).

Chris is the former deputy chairman (and prior to that, CEO) of reinsurance brokers Willis Re with nearly 30 years of broking experience to the highest level in international and specialty reinsurance and London market reinsurance. Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Insurers.

John joined the White Bear Group in February 2017 and has over 40 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s market. John was also the Active Underwriter for Syndicate 5886 and the Director of Underwriting for Blenheim from the 2017 YOA to 2020 YOA. John was a director of Cathedral Underwriting Ltd and Active Underwriter for Syndicate 2010, from 2001 to 2016 and also Syndicate 3010 from 2006 to 2016.

Mike is a qualified management accountant with 25 years insurance industry experience, including 15 years in the Lloyd’s members agency, Lloyd’s broker and Lloyd’s managing agency environments, in the latter to Managing and Financial Director level. Currently Chairman (having previously been CEO/CFO) of 1st Central, a Guernsey based financial services group which he co-founded a decade ago and whose motor insurance brand is distributed through the UK’s main price comparison sites.

Esther is a qualified solicitor with over 20 years of legal experience, including 10 years within the insurance industry. Esther has extensive experience and expertise acquired from her former roles as General Counsel and Company Secretary, which includes seven years at QBE where she was responsible for building and structuring an in-house legal function.
